Range Rover Sport SV’s unbelievable special editions

-

UK (Commonwealth)_ The inaugural collection from Land Rover’s SV Bespoke Design team is absolutely gorgeous, both metaphorically and practically. The Celestial Collection draws inspiration from solar system components and Greek mythology. Although the look may seem a little woo-woo, it’s good to see the classic Land Rover Range Rover Sport SV decked out in some boho attire.

Driven by the most powerful power plant available for the Range Rover Sport, a 626-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8, the Celestial models include standard 23-inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and carbon-fiber hoods in addition to distinctive cabin colors and finishes. The cosmos inspired the creation of five themes: Gaea, Theia, Io, Vega, and Sol.

The Earth-figure Gaea has a soft Green Terre Matte paint job, satin-forged carbon-fiber tailpipes, and carbon bronze brake callipers. Customers have a choice of two interior design options: a black/gray theme with vegan leather and black wood inlays, or brown leather paired with brown birch trim.

Shades of gray and black describe Theia, the daughter of two worlds. Light bronze wheels contrast with a matte paint job of dark gray on the outside. Customers may select between a beige and black combination or a black hue with red accents inside. In the center console, a satin-forged carbon-fiber panel resembles stars.

Among Jupiter’s 95 moons is Io, which NASA claims to be the solar system’s most volcanically active planet. This motif is embodied by the lava-colored Cyllene Gloss finish and the carbon fiber hood, wheels, and tailpipes. Within the interior, black leather with gray contrast stitching or a black/reddish brown combination that mimics the exterior style with carbon-fiber embellishments.

The colors blue and pearl are utilized throughout because Land Rover characterizes Vega as a “exceptionally bright” star in the Lyra constellation with blue in its spectrum. The external color, Verrier Blue (named after a French astronomer), is set against a yellow brake callipers and carbon-fiber hood. Options for the upholstery include a deep blue or a black/pearl combination.

Lastly, Sol is completely covered with a stunning gloss called Aurora Yellow, which is meant to evoke images of the aurora borealis. Either dark blue leather with gray stitching or black synthetic leather with yellow stitching makes up the more subdued interior that draws attention to the outside.

The company did indicate that only a limited number of customers would have the opportunity to purchase a Celestial collection model, even though it hasn’t specifically said how many will be produced. Pricing is still unknown, but given that a standard Range Rover Sport SV begins at least $180,000, we anticipate the Celestials to cost at least $200,000.

The all-wheel-drive Range Rover Sport SV is the most potent model, surpassing the previous 575-hp Range Rover Sport SVR in power.

Flying a fox hunt with its 626-hp twin-turbo V-8 is like flying fighter aircraft. The Range Rover Sport SV, which has a top speed of 180 mph, receives supercar treatment in the form of lightweight carbon fiber wheels and massive eight-piston Brembo calipers to clamp its carbon ceramic brake rotors. Aside from its quad tailpipes, the Range Rover SV is designed to embody Land Rover elegance.

Its knob-free infotainment panel has gone completely digital, and its bolstered front bucket seats include components for its 29-speaker surround sound system. There’s nothing earthly about this high-performance utility vehicle, even if it sits over an inch lower than previous Range Rover Sports.

What is bringing in 2024?

For 2024, Land Rover will introduce a brand-new version of its performance-luxury vehicle, the Range Rover Sport SV. Adapting elements of a supercar’s playbook, the Range Rover Sport SV gains access to the 600-hp club, carbon-fiber wheel option, carbon ceramic brakes, and an air suspension system that has been carefully designed to maintain stability over road-course curbing. It’s probably going to overwhelm its all-season tires right away. There is no mistaking the Range Rover Sport SV.

A powerful 4.4-liter V-8 engine producing 626 horsepower and twin turbocharged with 553 pound-feet of torque sits beneath the bonnet and is linked to an eight-speed automated transmission. With all-wheel drive, the Range Rover Sport SV can reach 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds, according to Land Rover.

We think so after testing one on a Portuguese racetrack. Thanks to its revolutionary 6D Dynamic suspension technology, the SV may sit over an inch lower than previous Range Rover Sports depending on the drive mode.
